AMA Iowa names winners of annual marketing awards
The Iowa Chapter of the American Marketing Association announced the winners of its 19th annual NOVA Awards during a ceremony held on July 17 at the Krause Gateway Center in Des Moines. Iowa companies’ marketing efforts were recognized with awards for categories including branding, data analytics and marketing research, integrated marketing campaign and marketing communications. “Every year, marketing teams across the state of Iowa design and execute the most creative and impactful marketing initiatives,” AMA Iowa President Ben Currie said in a prepared statement. “Teams use various data and multiple marketing channels to reach customers. The NOVA Awards recognize the best of those initiatives based upon various criteria.” The full list of award winners is available on the AMA Iowa website.

Incumbent Zach Nunn (R) and Lanon Baccam (D) are running in the general election in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District on Nov. 5, 2024. Nunn defeated then-incumbent Cindy Axne (D) in 2022 50.3% to 48.9%. As of the Q2 2024 campaign finance reports, Nunn had raised $3.96 million and Baccam had raised $2.71 million. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is targeting the district. As of Jul. 22, 2024, The Cook Political Report with Amy Walter, Decision Desk HQ and The Hill, and Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball each rated the election Lean Republican and Inside Elections with Nathan Gonzales rated it Tilt Republican.
