'Hills Fire' briefly forces evacuations in parts of Riverside County
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. - A brush fire forced temporary evacuations in part of Riverside County before expiring late Friday night. Cal Fire and the Riverside County Fire Department responded to a call of a vegetation fire near the intersection of Juniper Flats Road and Mapes Road in Homeland, California just after 2 p.m. Homeland is a census-designated place about eight and a half miles southeast of Perris.
