Press Release: School Board Recommends Millage Rate, Announces Public Hearings
Carnesville, Georgia (July 8, 2024) – The Franklin County School System announces its intent to maintain the current millage rate of 14.471 for the upcoming fiscal year. Superintendent Melanie Burton-Brown expressed that maintaining the millage rate demonstrates the district’s commitment to fiscal responsibility while continuing to provide quality education to our students.
4th Annual Back-to-School Bash Set For July 29
The Fourth Annual Back -to-School Bash has been scheduled for Monday, July 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Historic Ritz Theatre,. 66 W Doyle Street in Toccoa. Main Street Toccoa and the Historic Ritz Theatre are teaming up to bring inflatable activities, tattoos, school supplies, treats, and hot dogs – all free of charge.
