Leon County Sheriff investigates west Tallahassee shooting, second in 24-hour period
A man was injured in a Wednesday night shooting in west Tallahassee — the second shooting within 24 hours. The Leon County Sheriff's Office arrived around 9:45 p.m. to investigate a call in the area of Blountstown and Parklawn Streets where deputies found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a LCSO news release.

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in June approached a total of $3.03 billion, for an increase of $185.4 million or 6.5 percent compared to FY 2023, when net tax collections totaled $2.84 billion for the month. State champion softball teams set to compete in Diamond Youth World Series on July 18
Two area softball teams are heading to Tennessee to compete in the Diamond Youth World Series.
