Black Girls Dream Conference Brings West Virginians to Atlanta
The Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium (Southern Black Girls) is a collective of Black women in philanthropy, activism and girls’ work, who hold deep roots in movement-building. Their 4th Annual Black Girls Dream Conference took place over the weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, with a group from West Virginia in the building to represent the Mountain State.

A cold front which triggered some scattered brief downpours early this evening will only reinforce this Fall-like feel over the next 24 hours. Man charged with attempted murder
GLASGOW, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A Putnam County man is facing an attempted murder charge after investigators say he seriously injured a man after an argument over a canopy. According to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court, William Cobb, 72, of Winfield, was arrested after West Virginia State Police were called to East Dupont Avenue in the Glasgow area.

Stephen Belcher, 52, has been charged with endangerment involving a firearm after he was seen on April 18 on a porch along Washington Street W, firing into a residence through a glass door, according to a complaint filed with the Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
