The Steel Valley All Stars (SVAS), a combined 14u girls softball team with players from Boardman, Canfield, Poland and Struthers lost today in the Junior League World Series Championship game to Europe-Africa Region, 5-3. The Europe-Africa Region champions from the Czech Republic jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first and then proceeded to score three more runs through the fourth inning and a 4-0 lead.
