Henri's Bakery & Deli - Upper Westside
Small local chain Henri’s has been in the baked goods business since 1929. We like hitting the Upper Westside location because it has a huge parking lot that makes it easy to slide into a space and ride out with our sweet petit fours without the usual parking gymnastics. The inside does tend to get busy during lunch, but that's when we like to come get our sweets along with one of their respectable sandwiches, like the huge roast beef po’boy on perfectly crispy french bread. While you wait on your lunch order, peruse the two display cases stuffed with every type of baked good imaginable from muffins and cakes to rugulahs and shortbreads. And we can affirm they are all as delicious as they look.
