Ala Moana Center hosting free Common Kings and Friends concert series

HONOLULU (KHON2) — If you’re looking for something to do to celebrate the 4th of July, there’s a big concert series going down at Ala Moana Center featuring some incredibly popular acts. Jaymes Bell, the General Manager of Ala Moana Center, joined Take2 on Monday morning to detail the events.

“We’re so excited for our upcoming Fourth of July celebration at Ala Moana Center,” Bell said. “This year, we’ll be hosting a two-day concert series featuring Common Kings and friends on July 4th and 5th from 4—10 p.m. Several of our tenants will also have some special 4th of July promotions available, and we have our Instagram sweepstakes with lots of fun prizes we’re giving away, including a pair of VIP tickets to the concert. We also have our blood drive happening on July 4th as well. This year marks the 65th anniversary of Ala Moana Center, so we wanted to thank our community in a big way by hosting this special 4th of July celebration.”

The lineup includes Common Kings, Anuhea, Kapena, and Willz. And on July 5th, and Ala Moana Center will have Common Kings, Spawnbreezie, Fia, and Willz. Retailers are also going to have some special deals to celebrate the holiday.

“Several of our merchants are going to be offering special discounts and promotions for 4th of July. Retailers that will have special promotions include local favorites such as Honolulu Sunglass Shop, HIC Surf, Malie, T&C Surf, and more. There is an Instagram sweepstakes that Ala Moana Center is launching.

“This week, you can enter to win VIP passes to our 4th of July celebration, exclusive merchandise from the sought-after “KNGZ” Collection by Common Kings, and other items from several of our retailers. All you have to do is head over to our Instagram, look for our sweepstakes post, and in the comments, let us know what your favorite 4th of July activity is and tag a friend,” Bell said.

Bell adds that there have been 10,000 tickets released for free general admission, but limited VIP tickets are available for purchase as well. Tickets can be found at alamoanacenter.com.
