    Police seek public’s help in finding attempted kidnapper

    HONOLULU (KHON2) — CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted for Attempted Kidnapping following an incident on Sunday, July 21 in the Ewa Beach.

    According to authorities, at approximately 10:45 a.m., two juvenile females were standing on Puhiko Street in the Ewa Beach area when an unidentified male attempted to lure them into his vehicle by offering candy.

    When the juveniles declined, the male reportedly tried to physically grab the older juvenile but was unsuccessful.

    The suspect subsequently fled the scene in his vehicle.

    He is described as a Japanese man in his late 20’s. His physical appearance was noted as a slim build, dark hair and mustache.

    He was wearing a black long sleeve hoodie, black shirt and ripped jeans.

    The vehicle was described as a brown or tan four door sedan with tinted windows.
