Sodbusters Down Fremont And Take Series
Hastings, Nebraska- The Hastings Sodbusters handed the Fremont Moo a 14-4 defeat Thursday night at Duncan Field. Hastings won the final two games of the three game series. After a scoreless first inning, Fremont plated three runs in the top of the second. Against Hastings starter Cohen Evans, Fremont’s Isaac Bonner led off with a single. Two batters later, Grant Nottleman was hit by a pitch. Two wild pitches would eventually bring Bonner around to score, making it 1-0. After Jack Torosian drew a walk, Carson Burnett doubled, scoring Nottleman, to make it a 2-0 Fremont lead. The next batter, Carter Sintek, grounded out to short, scoring Torosian, and Fremont led 3-0.
