HOPE, Ark. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — A school supply drive is being held for students in Hope.

Officials are asking people to donate supplies like backpacks, binders, pencils, and even jackets for when the weather finally turns cold again.

Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours at:

    • Beryl Henry Elementary School
    • Yerger Middle School
    • The Bus Barn at North Ave B and North Ferguson St.

They hope to give every child the same opportunity to succeed in the upcoming school year.

“It’s always great for a kid to succeed because you never know where kids come from, their financial background, parents background or whatever. So I’m thinking this would be a great opportunity for all of our kids in our school district,” says Corliss Stuckey, an ISS paraprofessional in Hope, AR.

Donations will be accepted through August 2nd.

The Hope Education Association is sponsoring the drive. If you have any questions, reach out to Stuckey at corliss.stuckey@hpsdistrict.org or at (870) 826-1252 .
