Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Manslaughter In Todd County
A Hopkinsville woman was charged with manslaughter on Tuesday after an investigation into an Elkton man’s death last month. Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they investigated the death of a 21-year-old man who was found to have died on June 18th from a fentanyl overdose, which was confirmed following an autopsy.

Woman under the influence arrested after accident in Hopkinsville, drugs found in car
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 46-year-old woman was arrested over the weekend after an accident on the Eagle Way Bypass. On June 29 at 9 p.m., deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office pulled over to assist an accident in the turning lane of the Parkway. The woman was seen slumped over in the driver’s seat of an involved vehicle, exhibiting extremely slurred speech and delay reactions when responding to deputies, according to a news release from CCSO.

The Hopkinsville Police Department continues to use video surveillance systems to help make arrests in the cases in which they work. The latest came early Monday and led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man charged with stealing property from a vehicle at the Huck’s Gas Station on Lafayette Road.
Store Security Check Leads to Foot Chase With Police
A Hopkinsville Police officer who stopped to make a routine check at a convenience store ended up in a foot pursuit that ended with the arrest of a Herndon man. Sgt. Mike Felts said he got out at the Dodge Store on West 7th Street just before midnight Monday to check on the clerks inside and noticed 39-year-old Richard Anderson walking away from the front of the store quickly and then running behind the Dollar General Store next door.
Hopkinsville teen charged with wanton endangerment, felony auto theft
A Hopkinsville teenager is facing charges after allegedly being found driving a vehicle without permission on North Drive Sunday with other minors in the vehicle. According to Hopkinsville police, officers were patrolling on North Drive when they observed a vehicle going over the speed limit and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with the driver, the officer could immediately tell they were not old enough to be driving and determined the driver was 15-years-old.
Tennessee Man Charged With Running From The Police
An Adams, Tennessee man was arrested on charges he failed to stop for police Saturday night following a speeding violation. Hopkinsville police said they observed 31-year-old Vincent Morrow driving 61 mph on Fort Campbell Boulevard. The report said when the officer turned on his emergency lights to try and catch the vehicle it accelerated and turned onto McCoy Avenue and turned off his lights.
Names Released In Crofton Crash
A Calhoun man was flown to a Nashville hospital with a severe leg injury after a wreck on Madisonville Road in front of Crofton Elementary School Saturday morning. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a van driven by Shelia Bussell of Crofton was northbound turning into a driveway when it was hit by a motorcycle driven by Michael Roberts that was southbound.
Motorcyclist airlifted after Madisonville Road collision
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital in Nashville Saturday evening after a serious crash. The motorcyclist told deputies with the Christian County Sherrif’s office that a vehicle turned in front of him on Madisonville Road, and he was unable to stop in time, resulting in a collision with the rear of the other vehicle. The other driverclaimed the sun obscured her vision, and she did not see him.
DUI: Soldier Collin Hartman causes two deputies to crash while recklessly driving
22-year-old Collin James Hartman of the US Army 74th CTC/129 was observed driving his dark gray Ford Fiesta in the wrong travel lane and trying to overtake another vehicle, causing two patrolling deputies to collide while avoiding hitting his Fiesta head-on near Southside Road at 7:55 p.m. on June 15th. Then, Hartman continued traveling toward Highway 48, so deputies searched the area until they located him on Riverside Drive, where they conducted a traffic stop. He told them he was coming from Avondale Apartments off Ashland City Road. As they further investigated, the passenger corroborated the deputy’s account of what happened, and they could identify Hartman as the person in question. When officers ran his information through NCIC, they discovered his Florida License was suspended for failing to comply with a traffic summons in Tennessee. Hartman was then taken into custody for failure to maintain lane, driving on a suspended license, and reckless driving.
