Marshall’s Williams hauls in touchdown in TCU win
PALO ALTO, Calif. (KLTV) - Former Marshall Maverick Savion Williams caught 11 passes in TCU’s 34-27 win over Stanford on Friday. Stanford got the ball first and took a 7-0 lead. On TCU’s first drive, Williams caught a 12-yard pass from quarterback Josh Hoover to begin the drive. Hoover found Williams again on a second down and nine for a 17-yard pickup. On a first and 10 at the Stanford 29-yard line, Hoover connected with Williams for no gain, and on the next play hit Williams again for a five-yard pickup. Williams grabbed his fifth pass of the drive on a five yard pass from Hoover to tie the game at seven with 1:16 left in the first quarter.
Downtown Planters Entered In A Competition
The Downtown Development Authority partnered with downtown businesses, Tim Hoover, Horticulturist with Shreveport Aquarium, Garrison’s Nursery, and the DDA’s Streetscape crew to launch the Adopt-A-Pot beautification initiative that has brightened our downtown area with stunning EarthPlanters. Since their arrival, these beautiful planters and plantings have been a standout feature in downtown Shreveport, adding pops of greenery, color, and charm to our community spaces. Louisiana Bar Foundation, Louisiana Pharmacists Association appoint board members
The Louisiana Bar Foundation recently installed its board of directors for 2024-25. Retired Ninth Judicial District Judge John C. Davidson, of Alexandria, is president. Davidson was elected as a district judge in 2004 and retired in September 2023. He began his private practice in New Orleans, working in the areas of complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Davidson moved to Alexandria in 1992 and continued his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, general defense work, personal injury and domestic law. He earned his law degree from the LSU Law Center, where he was order of the coif and a member of Louisiana Law Review.
Woman's Hospital holds ribbon-cutting for Louisiana's first inpatient mental health unit solely dedicated to pregnant, postpartum, and post-pregnant women
BATON ROUGE --- This week, Woman’s Hospital celebrated the opening of the brand new Perinatal Mental Health Unit (PMHU) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included Woman’s President and CEO Rene Ragas, Gov. Jeff Landry, Louisiana Surgeon General Dr. Ralph Abraham, LDH Secretary Michael Harrington, state lawmakers, elected officials and a host of hospital, community and business leaders. Woman’s PMHU is Louisiana’s first inpatient mental health unit solely dedicated to serving the specialized needs of women who are pregnant, up to one year postpartum or have suffered a pregnancy loss within the last year. Patients will start being admitted in September.
