Dover Man Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges
Dover Police have arrested a 32-year-old Dover man on drug and firearm charges after shots were reportedly fired early this morning. The incident occurred on South New Street. Officers were able to review downtown surveillance and observe someone in the area holding a firearm. Officers responded to the area and took a man identified as Agmere Matthews, into custody without incident. Officers found 23 grams of crack cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of money on Matthews when he was taken into custody. Officers also located a Walther .38 caliber firearm after canvassing the area that Matthews had come from prior to being taken into custody. Matthews is at SCI on $55,000 secured bail.

SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a second suspect linked to a shooting in Seaford in May of 2024. Wednesday they arrested 18-year-old Tyler Morrison. Tyler and his 20-year-old brother Lukas are accused of firing several rounds at a home on Kelly Circle on May 29, 2024. A 15-year-old girl was injured in the incident, sustaining injuries to her foot.

Laurel Police Search for Caroline County Man After High-Speed Pursuit
LAUREL, DE - The Laurel Police Department is searching for a Caroline County man that fled a traffic stop and led officers on a high-speed pursuit on June 27th. On Thursday, June 27th, at approximately 12:45pm, a Laurel Police Department officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Toyota Camry in the area of Poplar Street and Locust Street in Laurel. The officer observed the vehicle "bearing a fictitious registration plate". The vehicle failed to stop for the officer and began to flee at a high rate of speed.
Plane Crashes In Southern Delaware On The 4th Of July
Federal Authorities are investigating the crash of a banner plane that went down in southern Delaware on the 4th of July. The plan reportedly crash-landed upside down in a wooded area near Rickards Road between Roxana and Millville at just after 3:50 p.m. on Thursday. The pilot, who had taken off from Bunting Field in Berlin, Maryland, around 3:00 p.m., survived the crash, reportedly without serious injuries. The plane went down after flying along the beach for almost an hour.
