Accident north of Roby injures one

One person was injured Monday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 17 about four miles north of Roby.

Cpl. Justin Piccinino said a northbound 2022 Cadillac Escalade driven by Larkin K. Price, 21, of Baton Bouge, La., ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. A passenger, Loyetta Z. Collins, 60, of Baton Rouge, La., sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

Both were wearing seat belts, Piccinino said. The vehicle was totaled.

The Roby Fire Department assisted.
