Brian Bogusevic, former Astros outfielder and Space City Home Network analyst, joins Next Up following the Houston Astros losing 11-2 against the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday.

Framber Valdez was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with elbow soreness and top pitching prospect Spencer Arrighetti was called up to make his major league debut. "The starting pitching has faltered" due to injuries, and the Astros are having to "extend guys further than you want," Bogusevic said. "It's a really difficult thing to cover that," and the Astros have "to hope to get healthy quickly."

Bogusevic also comments on the Astros struggling to advance runners, and first baseman Jose Abreu's slow start to the season, saying the Astros are "going to keep running him out there" because "it did get better as the season went on last year."
