Houston Chronicle writer Jonathan Alexander joins Next Up to review the Houston Texans prospects following the NFL Draft.

With their first pick coming in the second round, the Texans selected Georgia cornerback Kamari Lassiter at No. 42 overall. Alexander had Lassiter on the Texans radar in his early mock drafts. Lassiter "was as solid as they came," and "I wouldn't be shocked" if he started opposite Derek Stingley Jr. next season, Alexander said.

The Texans drafted Lassiter following the Philadelphia Eagles trading up for Cooper DeJean and the New Orleans Saints drafting Kool-Aid McKinstry. The Texans "could have made a traded up...if they really loved McKinstry."

With the No. 59 overall pick, the Texans drafted offensive tackle Blake Fisher from Notre Dame. Alexander predicts that Fisher is "going to be one of the best immediately" and will "start at right tackle." Since "the jury is still out on Kenyon Green," Tytus Howard could move to the guard position.

Alexander also discusses the Texans drafting Jawhar Jordan, a running back from Louisville, with the No. 205 overall pick. Jordan has "special teams value," and "if things don't work out with Dameon Pierce, then you have your future option."
