How will the Texans keep their wide receiver weapons happy? C.J. Stroud has the answer.

C.J. Stroud says he gets the question all of the time.

How are the Texans going to keep their wide receivers happy this season? Is their enough football to go around for everyone?

Between Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank Dell, it's reasonable to think Houston has three receivers who could go for 1,000 yards. They also brought back Noah Brown, a key contributor when healthy last year, and could see a jump from John Metchie III in his second full season since recovering from leukemia.

Stroud is not concerned about spreading the wealth. It's been his mission to find the open receiver and this season should be no different. Whoever is open is going to get the ball.

For Stroud, the conflict is with the defense.

"My thinking is you got to pick your poison playing this," Stroud said. "Who are you going to double? Who are you going to cater to? You’ve got five dogs who are able to get the ball in each given play. So, I think it's fun. I know [Bobby] Slow has done a great job of being more creative and has put different personnel packages out there, guys in different positions, going from you inside to outside. I'm very excited to work with Coach Slow again. He's done amazing so far in OTAs and will continue to do such. Yeah, man, I think that past experience of playing with [Marvin Harrison Jr.] Marv, [Jaxon Smith-Njigba] Jax, Garrett [Wilson], Chris [Olave], [Jameson Williams] Jamo, Emeka [Egbuka], Julian [Fleming], like those type of guys, they'll tell you too. I know they'll probably have said it before, but they'll tell you they made me better and I made them better.

"My job is to make everybody around me better. I'm excited, man. It's been healthy competition. I know Garrett, I saw his interview today. He was talking about Ohio State, how like the receivers like -- if Garrett made a play, Chris is like, ‘Nah, watch this.’ It's the same thing here, which it's really cool to watch. As the quarterbacks, Davis [Mills], and Case [Keenum] and Tim [Boyle], we're the same way, too. Healthy competition is the best way to grow and get better. And I think that's what it's about. You see how excited Diggs gets for Tank when he makes a play and Metchie gets excited for when Nico makes a play and Tank gets excited when Rob makes a play. So, It's amazing. We’ve got Noah coming back too, which is going to be amazing. I am excited being there."
