How Astros should approach trade deadline and whether Jake Meyers is a piece to move

The Houston Astros are somewhere between contenders and pretenders more than 40 percent through the MLB season.

Their most recent disappointment came on the road against the San Francisco Giants, who beat them 5-3 on Wednesday afternoon.

Houston (31-38) dropped two of three in San Francisco after squandering a chance to sweep the Los Angeles Angels over the weekend. The Astros are 8.5 games behind the Seattle Mariners for the AL West lead.

What should be their trade deadline approach? And should center fielder Jake Meyers be a potential trade piece. MLB Network's Jon Morosi believes Meyers is a player contenders are going to be interested in if the Astros continue to sputter.
