    Chas McCormick homers twice in Astros' 5-1 win over Orioles

    Chas McCormick homered twice to help lead the Astros to a 5-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday, securing the three-game series win.

    For Houston, it is the fourth straight victory since Tuesday when the Astros lost to the Chicago White Sox, the worst team in baseball. The Astros have now won three series in a row.

    Ronel Blanco gave up just one run in seven innings of work. He allowed a solo home run by Jordan Westburg in the second inning, but otherwise limited damage.

    McCormick with 3-for-3 and scored three runs for Houston. Mauricio Dubon's sacrifice fly tied the game in the bottom of the second inning. Yordan Alvarez hit a two-run homer to score McCormick in the third inning. McCormick sent solo shots to left and right field in the fifth and eighth innings, respectively.

    The Astros remain 6.5 games behind the AL West leading Seattle Mariners, who beat the Miami Marlins 9-0 on Saturday.

    Framber Valdez (5-5, 3.91 ERA) takes the mound for Houston on Sunday as the Astros go for the sweep. Albert Suarez (3-1, 2.05 ERA) gets the start for Baltimore.
