Former teammate who saw him at his best says Texans WR Stefon Diggs is just as good as ever

The Houston Texans traded for Stefon Diggs this offseason, in a move that many feel makes this team a legit Super Bowl contender for the first time in a long time, if ever. The move solidifies the Texans as also having one of the best offenses in the league, as they also have a Pro Bowl-level running back in Joe Mixon now, and two other wide receivers who can claim that No. 1 guy title.

But, I'm not sure anyone is saying this team's offense won't be elite. I think the conversation is geared toward, will Stefon Diggs mess up the chemistry when he doesn't get the targets he wants. C.J. Stroud is making sure that doesn't happen . And, that's a fair question. From everything we have heard, Diggs could be a player that gets upset when he doesn't get his fair share of targets, or when he doesn't get as involved in the offense as he thinks he should be.

But, not every narrative is true, and the jury is still out on Diggs. The other narrative that he is facing, seems to be that people think his best years are behind him. However, one of the players he played with during some of his best years seems to think he could be even better.

"He hasn't lost a step," backup Texans quarterback Case Keenum said. "If anything, he has gotten more savviness and can put some extra sauce on some routes when he needs to and win."

Keenum was with the Buffalo Bills two years ago when Diggs was unstoppable with almost 1,500 receiving yards on the year. Not to mention, Diggs also had a career-high 11 receiving touchdowns. That was two years ago. Just because last season he had a little over 1,100 receiving yards in an offense that improved their running game and got the tight ends involved more, he is viewed as a guy who isn't as good.

Keenum was also the quarterback with the Minnesota Vikings when Diggs made that spectacular play in the playoffs against the New Orleans Saints. So, when Keenum says that, you almost have to believe it.
