Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is taking a page out of Patrick Mahomes book this offseason

The Houston Texans have one of the best young quarterbacks in the league in C.J. Stroud. After just his rookie season, you can confidently say that Stroud is a top-five quarterback in the league. But, just having the talent won't get you to a Super Bowl. You have to work. Nothing gets handed to you.

And, Stroud knows that, which is why he has spent his entire offseason working. Sure, he has taken trips out of the country and has gone on this media tour with Micah Parsons, but every time you tune into Instagram, he is working out. He just got back from France, where Stefon Diggs was working out , and he was throwing to Diggs.

Now, he is taking a page from Patrick Mahomes' book.

The best quarterback in the league, and the best player, really, started doing something with his wide receivers about two years ago. He took all the receivers and tight ends and paid for them to stay a week in Dallas, Texas with him , where they work out and go through their own camp together.

They throw together, go through the playbook, and several other things that help build up chemistry. In a way, that is what C.J. Stroud is doing, too.

There is a picture going around Twitter that shows Stroud and all his receivers together working out in Miami. This is what you want from not only your franchise quarterback but your franchise leader. This is a guy showing that all he wants to do is win.

This is the stuff of champions. In the NFL, there is no margin for error, because everything is close. You need that one little edge to get over your opponent, and Stroud is showing that he is going to do whatever it takes to get that edge. In a way, he's taking a page from the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.
