Astros closer Josh Hader gave up a walk-off home run to Minnesota Twins catcher Christian Vázquez in the ninth inning of a tie game to hand Houston a 3-2 loss Sunday.

The Astros dropped back-to-back games over the weekend after winning Friday's series opener. It ends a streak of the Astros winning six consecutive series as their record drops to 46-44.

For Hader, it's the fourth home run he's allowed in his past seven outings and eighth homer he's allowed in 39 innings pitched this season. Only eight relievers in baseball give up more home runs per nine innings than Hader, and one of them is his teammate Rafael Montero.

In the ninth inning of Sunday's game, the former Astros catcher Vázquez sent a full-count slider 362 feet over the left-field wall to win the game for Minnesota (51-39), which holds the second AL wild card spot.

Houston, meanwhile, is 2.5 games out of the AL West and three games out of the final wild card. The Astros are off Monday before returning to Minute Maid Park to host the Miami Marlins.
