NBA Stars Unite in Agreement Over Rockets Rookie Reed Sheppard

Houston Rockets rookie Reed Sheppard is putting the league on notice with his stellar play in the NBA Summer League.

Through two games with the Rockets this summer, the league's No. 3 overall pick is averaging 22.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per game on 56% shooting from the field and 45% shooting from behind the three-point arc.

Some of the league's current stars are beginning to take notice. Both Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young and Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant took to social media to share their thoughts on the incoming rookie.

"Reed Sheppard nice y’all !!" Young wrote on X.

"That's really cool," Sheppard said in response to this praise from Young and Morant. "Last couple years I've grown up watching them in the NBA and think they're tremendous players. That's really cool seeing them post that."

Former NBA All-Star Mark Price also took to social media with some strong praise for Sheppard.

"I just watched some highlights of @reed_sheppard at @NBASummerLeague! He sure reminds me of a former NBA all star This young man has a bright future!" Price wrote on X.

Sheppard and the Rockets took the court for another Summer League matchup against the Detroit Pistons on Monday.
