Football is just a couple of days away. On Thursday night the Houston Texans will be kicking off this year's preseason schedule against the Chicago Bears for the annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. Before the games begin teams are required to release an unofficial depth chart, which is what Houston did yesterday.

Here's a look at the depth chart that the Texans shared on their official Twitter account.

There are no real surprises listed, here. One notable change is the designation for veteran defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr., who had been listed as part of the edge rotation. Edwards is now among the starters for the interior defensive line along with Folorunso Fatukasi.

Most likely this change is related to the news that broke yesterday that Denico Autry has been suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the league's policy against performance enhancing drugs. Autry says he did not knowingly take a banned substance. Autry may appeal but for now he's out of the lineup.

Edwards has played most of his career on the edge but he does have experience inside, including last season with the Seahawks and the year before with the Titans.

The only other noteworthy point is seeing rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter listed among the starters on the back end of the defense, but that was expected. He is the only rookie who's projected to start for the Texans for now. Veterans C.J. Henderson and Jeff Okudah are waiting in the wings if he struggles out of the gate.
