BRIGHTON TWP. — New shopkeeper Karrie Stone links customers up with customizable, permanent jewelry to commemorate important moments, relationships and memories. Stone's new shop, One Link at a Time, which also sells gifts and features "selfie" stations, is open by appointment only at 10611 E. Grand River Ave. Stone plans to begin regular hours two days a week sometime in August.

Country Blues Narrative With Songs At Brighton District Library
A program featuring a country blues narrative with songs is set tomorrow night at the Brighton District Library. The program will take attendees on a tour through history with a musical twist on Wednesday at the library from 7 to 8pm. It features a narrated journey from the first recorded Blues songs in the 1920s to just after World War II.
Pinckney’s Sitko posts sixth career win at Phoenix Bass Fishing League event at Detroit River
TRENTON, Mich. – Boater Michael Sitko of Pinckney, Michigan, caught a five-bass limit weighing 24 pounds, 13 ounces, Saturday to win the MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League (BFL) Presented by T-H Marine on the Detroit River. The tournament was the second event of the season for the BFL Michigan Division. Sitko earned $10,917, including the lucrative $7,000 Phoenix MLF Contingency Bonus, for his victory.
