HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) — For several days, Huber Heights residents and commuters are likely to see a police presence at a school.

From July 29 to Aug. 2, the Huber Heights Police Division reports officers will be conducting active shooter training at Wayne High School. Although a majority of training will be inside of the building, law enforcement and fire vehicles will be visible in the parking lot.

“The Wayne High School Drama department and Huber Heights Police Explorers will be assisting us to make this training as close real as possible for the officers participating,” HHPD said.

While training, most of the building will be closed. If you can, you are asked to avoid being on school grounds until next week.

The gym, locker rooms and stadium will still be accessible for sports teams, according to HHPD.
