Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission voted 6-0 to apply for a blight-remediation grant and to purchase blighted property on North Winter Street at their meeting Monday night. The addresses include the former Daily Telegram building along the riverfront side of North Winter Street. The City has a long-term plan to have that space developed with possible residential and commercial buildings.

Adrian, MI – The City of Adrian compost site will be closed Saturday, July 6th, for the holiday weekend. Compost site activities will resume Tuesday July 9th. Please remember all yard waste deposited at the compost site in anything other than biodegradable and/ or compostable paper bags must be removed from the bag or container. Update On Area Northwest Ohio Rite Aid Closures
Rite Aids local to our area have stated they, along with all other Rite Aid stores in Ohio and Michigan will be closing. This information has not yet been confirmed directly from Rite Aid corporate, however, Rite Aid stores in both Fulton, Lucas, and Defiance Counties have informed The Village Reporter that they will indeed be closing. Furthermore, stores in Hillsdale County and Jackson County in Michigan have confirmed this as well.
