And, although the 34-year-old gym owner and serial entrepreneur has never formally trained in any combat sports, he feels as though his sheer size, strength, and athleticism could allow him to take on professionally trained fighters.
Be it... half his size.
Bradly recently went viral after an episode of Raw Talk, where he said this to 30-0 professional boxer and undisputed lightweight world champion, Devin Haney:
"I would beat the f*ck out of you in a street fight."
Devin quickly responded, assuring Bradley he "would kill" him, despite a 100+ lbs weight disadvantage, and the two laughed it off without much issue.
But, the conversation didn't end there with the majority of the internet feeling as though Bradley needed a reality check, citing the same argument as Devin, "muscles don't win fights". Especially not against a professionally trained fighter.
Playing into the villain role, Bradley then followed up by asking Nate Diaz, a mixed martial arts legend, a very similar question on another episode:
"Do you think you could beat me in a street fight?"
Laughing, Nate responded, "You're a podcaster, bro... of course."
Seeing as though Bradley is not only strong but athletic, the debate has taken on a life of its own, being discussed on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. Joe and comedian, Bryan Callen, discussed the potential outcome of a fight between Bradley and UFC ex-flyweight champion, Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson.
At first, Joe admitted in a ju-jitsu match, Mighty Mouse, 37, would win, "100%". But surprisingly, Joe then had this to say:
"Now, if this was in a street fight, the thing about Bradley is he can hit you with the Earth... if somehow or another Mighty Mouse f*cks up and that guy can pick him up and slam him into the ground, I don't know how much Mighty Mouse is going to physically be able to mitigate that."
Mighty Mouse has since responded, agreeing to a ju-jitsu match. On a recent podcast, he had this to say:
"That's the beautiful thing about grappling, it's not about weight, it's about technique... when I get back from my vacation, I'm going to fly down to Calabasas, we're going to roll."
It may not be the street fight fans are looking for, but if the ex-125 lbs world champion can "roll him up", as he predicts, it may be enough to end the debate once and for all.
