On September 2nd, Cyril Gane made a successful return to the octagon, defeating Sergey Spivak via TKO in the 2nd round of UFC Paris.

And, after basking in his hometown win, "Bon Gamin" was likely looking forward to returning home to his own bed -- a rare luxury for the French fighter. But instead, on Sunday morning (7:30 AM local time), the 33-year-old ex-interim UFC world champion was phoning the police to report a burglary.

While he away main-eventing the UFC's long-awaited return to France, at UFC Paris, opportunistic criminals took the time to rob Cyril's apartment, reportedly stealing $160,000 in jewelry, including a Rolex watch.

Although no suspects have been named as of yet, camp insiders speculate it was an inside job -- as perpetrators would have to know his whereabouts and home address.

Although the positive momentum of Cyril's night may have been halted, it pails in comparison to the re-ignition of Cyril's career trajectory, as he rebounds emphatically after his second career defeat in March of 2023 to current heavyweight champion, Jon Jones.

After a respectful callout from fellow rising star, Tom Aspinall, who travelled from England to watch the bout, it looks like the two will square off for a chance to move one step closer to heavyweight gold in the near future.

So, despite losing a sizeable amount of shiny jewelry, it looks as though the future is still bright for Bon Gamin (translation: "good guy").
