2024 Wyoming Coaches Foundation All-Star Rosters Revealed
Rosters and information for the annual “Wyoming Coaches Foundation North-South All-Star Games” was released on Wednesday for the 2024 edition. The games will be on July 20 in Casper at T-Bird gym at Casper College. The volleyball match starts at 1 p.m., followed by the girls’ basketball game at approximately 3 p.m. and the boys’ basketball game at approximately 5 p.m.
Davenport University Athlete Aaron Cummings to Compete at Paris Olympics with USA Men’s Rugby Sevens Team
Former Davenport University athlete Aaron Cummings is set to make history as the first DU representative at the Olympic games in Paris, competing with the USA Men's Rugby Sevens Team. Cummings, a Grand Haven High School graduate and Muskegon native, will join 12 starting athletes for the Olympic debut, aiming for a strong performance following the USA's ninth place finish in Rio 2016 and sixth place in Tokyo 2020.

American Legion Baseball teams are in Week 14 of Wyoming’s 2024 season. The week begins with numerous conference doubleheaders. Then, tournament action takes over the weekend. Douglas and Gillette have tournaments for A-level teams, while Cheyenne has a Double-A tournament for the second straight weekend. Sodbusters sweep Plainsmen in first games without Schipper
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - In the program’s first game without head coach Joel Schipper, who is leaving Hastings to take over at NCAA DIII Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Hastings Sodbusters beat Plainsmen Baseball 7-1. This was the first of a Tuesday doubleheader, since Monday’s game was postponed due to weather. That was scheduled to be Schipper’s last in the Sodbusters’ dugout, but he left for Michigan on Tuesday before the team’s 6 p.m. first pitch.
Six Panthers receive NIRA All-Academic honors
NIRA - Davenport University women's rugby were recgonized by the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) in the 2023-24 NIRA All-Academic honors list. Nicole Carvalho, Ashley Cowdrey, Olivia Farkas, Valencia Goldsmith, Kaley Gustavus,and Addy Ochoa were seven of over 180 student-athletes to receive the honor for the most recent academic year. All six Panthers were part of the historic run by the women's rugby team during the 2023-24 campaign where DU crowned themselves as the NIRA Division II National Champions and finished third overall in the CRAA Premier 7s National Championships.

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. – The Great Lakes Loons (38-38) (4-6) faced a strong pitching performance from the West Michigan Whitecaps (39-38) (8-3) winners 6-1 on a 75-degree cloudy Tuesday night at LMCU Ballpark. The game was delayed by 36 minutes due to an expected storm that fortunately avoided Comstock Park.

Yet, she’s taking herself, her family and the Forest Hills Northern community to places they never knew to be possible. “Jerrensia’s taken us on an adventure that we never would have expected,” Jen Kroll, Jerrensia’s mom, said. “When you have a child in your home that has such significant disabilities, you don’t think you’re ever going to get to cheer her on from the sidelines as she runs a race.”
