Rudy Giuliani thinks that Steve Bannon is being “tortured” by not having access to television in prison.

The former mayor of New York City lashed out at the Bureau of Prisons and Attorney General Merrick Garland while acting as a stand-in for Bannon during Tuesday’s episode of the former White House strategist’s streaming series, “War Room: Battleground.”

Joined by MyPillow CEO and election conspiracy enthusiast, Mike Lindell , Giuliani claimed Bannon was being subjected to cruel treatment as he serves his four-month sentence for flouting a 2021 subpoena from congress.

“Steve unfortunately can’t hear this broadcast, which is an outrage,” the man formerly known as “America’s Mayor” complained.

Pointing to his involvement in the federal prison system under Presidents Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, Giuliani claimed that he couldn’t recall any prisoners in Bannon’s “category” being deprived of “access to television for occasional shows, special shows.”

Former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon (right) appears with attorney Matthew Evan Corcoran in Washington, D.C., in June. Last week, fellow Trump ally Rudy Giuliani claimed Bannon was being "tortured" by not having access to TV in prison.

“Steve Bannon is not being treated the way other prisoners are being treated,” he continued. “His case has been moved from the Bureau of Prisons to crooked attorney general Garland’s office, and they’re calling the shots because contacts that I have in the Bureau of Prisons have told me they’ve been taken outta the case.”

Coming to an outlandish conclusion, the one-time Republican presidential candidate used air quotes as he told viewers that fellow Donald Trump ally Bannon was being “tortured.”

“Boy, this election is about a fascist regime,” Giuliani added. “And Steve Bannon is prime number one victim.”

Bannon reported to Connecticut’s low-security Danbury Federal Correctional Institution at the beginning of July , where he will likely remain until the end of October.

Though the far-right political strategist’s time behind bars should wind down before the 2024 presidential election, he might be facing more time in prison in the near-future.

On Friday, New York State Supreme Court Judge April Newbauer ruled that Bannon must face trial for criminal fraud charges come December.

Bannon is being accused of diverting hundreds of thousands of the $15 million he and others privately raised for Trump’s proposed border wall in order to pay the fundraiser’s chief executive, Brian Kolfage.
