Tangled vacuum cleaners, excuse the pun, suck. Nothing quite hinders a cleaning session like having to dig for a chopstick or a skewer and spending precious time de-tangling hair from your pricey appliance. Luckily, we found one that doesn’t seem to experience that problem, according to several reviewers. In fact, it’s designed so well that one user calls it the “best invention since the cordless phone.”

This Shark cordless vacuum “slurps dog hair like crazy and doesn’t get tangled in the brushroller,” says reviewer Mary B . “It doesn’t scatter any dirt like other brands,” and its “suction power is so strong, nothing escapes it.” This beloved vacuum isn’t just trusty, strong and tangle-free; it’s also 37% off at Amazon right now.

This cordless Shark vacuum has a 60-minute battery life on a single charge and an LED display to show its battery life and performance to monitor its cleaning power. It also has what Shark calls “powerfin nozzles,” silicone brushes built to deeply and continuously clean floors and carpets. A self-cleaning brush de-tangles as it vacuums to prevent pet and human hair from mucking up its suction power, plus a set of LED headlights illuminate those hard-to-see dust particles. It comes bundled with an upholstery tool and an 8-inch crevice tool for reaching inside of furniture.

It’s also supremely lightweight. According to reviewer Megan , it’s so light that “I wondered how effective the unit would be. But WOW! Impressively picks up cat hair from wool carpet!!!”

See its cleaning power for yourself and get this Shark while it’s over $100 off its usual price, and read on for more promising reviews if you need the extra push.

Read on for more promising reviews of the Shark IZ631H cordless vacuum cleaner:

“[…] At my age, dust on baseboards and chair rails, as well as some dirt in corners and other hard to reach areas has become the norm. My Roomba and the corded uprights just couldn’t get those hard to reach areas on the floors, and it’s just too hard on my knees and back to crawl around more than a few times each year. I found accessories on all upright cleaners too awkward and difficult to use…. but I was inspired by the Shark’s light weight and gave it a try… All I can say is WOW! Baseboards, corners and close to furniture and cabinets are now spotless! My house hasn’t been this clean in a long time… Best of all, I’m not exhausted from the task. LOVE my Shark cordless stick vacuum!!! […] ” — Dale G

“I moved into a small apartment with both hardwood floors and a carpet or two. AND 2 cats, one of which is like a furball machine with her long hair! After LOTS of research and reviews, I decided on this Rocket Pet Pro. First use: surprisingly lightweight, so much so that I wondered how effective the unit would be. But WOW! Impressively picks up cat hair from wool carpet!!! It’s my first experience with a cordless vacuum, and I LOVE not having to plug & unplug. But today was the clincher: I let the cat fur go for too many days, so started off using my Windtunnel on the carpet, with the thought to reach for the Rocket on the hardwood floors. OH MY, OH MY!!!!! The Windtunnel picked up 5% of the cat fur. The Rocket Pet Pro picked up 95%!!!!!! Was I astounded!!! Those rubber blades combined with the roller brushes seem to make a huge difference. I also love how the head swivels so easily around furniture legs. Very easy to empty. My one small complaint is that fur seems to wrap around the small front wheels underneath—a bit tricky to pull it out, even with needle nose pliers. But overall, I’m one happy camper!” — Megan

“Great vacuum and plenty of battery life. Easy to clean after use. We bought this to replace our Dyson and I can say without a doubt this is much better than the Dyson. The price point is a major bonus as well. Highly recommeng” — Lawrence Plutchak Jr.

“[…] The dust cup is large enough to handle my house one time through. It collects hair like a dream, especially long hair. This vacuum cleaner vacuums up so much dust, that you’ll be surprised at how much of it can collect in your carpet. I would suggest vacuuming daily to keep that to a minimum. Studies have been done that show if you vacuum daily, a high percentage of dust particles that come from the carpet are eliminated from the air as well. I think you should take a look at this vacuum cleaner. I’m a huge Shark fan, because they make great products and if you spend a little bit more money, you’ll get something nice that does a remarkable job.” — Robert P

“I had reasonable expectations that an upright would not be as good a cleaner as a more heavy duty vacuum; however, I knew it would be more convenient. My last upright was a wimp from the beginning, and didn’t handle my long hair strands well. This Shark is so much better than I expected. Instead of having to pull my long hairs out of the floor brush, they neatly curl around the tube in the debris collection cup. For that alone I am a happy camper. ! I appreciate the various little devices that are so easy to use. It took me a while to notice the finger grip to easily and suddenly up the power when needed. The buttons to switch back and forth from hard flooring to carpets, to remove the power unit, and to dump out debris are easy and seamless. The light is a nice touch that helps hair and little bits show up, whether in brightly lit or shaded areas. Most of all, I love the ease of using just the power unit with various tools, all of which were included. When I store the vacuum, which I keep in a closet, I separate the power unit and place it on the floor so it is handy when needed. I am very glad it doesn’t have to be stored and recharged on a wall unit, as it is not artwork to display. It is quite easy to plug it in, and handy to have the three blinking lights to know the level of the charge. I am so glad it turns itself off after reaching complete charge, so I don’t have to worry about watching it. […]” — scribe safta

I have always loved Shark products and this vacuum did not disappoint. I found this vacuum easy to put together and take apart. I have three dogs and this vacuum does a great job. I found it easy to use and has great suction with a little button if you need a little boost. I can vacuum my house without recharging. It holds a charge well and an indicator to show how much charge is left. It also enables you to use it as a dust buster too. I am very happy with this product. Do not hesitate to purchase” — Amazon Customer

“We have 98ld Great Pyrenees and had a Dyson specifically dog dog hair. If you have never seen them, GPs probably shed 1/4 pound a hair a day, so the floor need to be constantly vacuumed. We returned the Dyson and after doing research, we found this Shark. It is very lightweight, which is good given our age and the frequency we use it, and it is powerful. However, more importantly, it is dead simple to empty. No need for a bamboo skewer to pull the hair out. ” — Bilbo Baggins
