Lorusso received a bachelor of science in biology with a concentration in health sciences during the ceremony. Living expenses at Northeastern are creeping up each year. Some students say they aren’t getting the bang for their buck.
With semesterly housing rates approaching $10,000 per semester, Northeastern dorms are more than 25% pricier than they were 20 years ago, when accounting for inflation. Off-campus housing isn’t much cheaper — a recent report ranked Northeastern the eighth most expensive college to live off-campus in the United States, just behind Harvard (ranked seventh) and Boston University (ranked sixth). The report found that students living off campus at Northeastern can expect to pay around $3,400 a month.
Universal free school meals program sees successful first year
BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — In the first year of state-funded universal free school meals, 12.2 million more lunches and 9 million more breakfasts were served over the previous year. The City of Everett hosted Babson Academy Youth Impact Lab to bring its Youth Entrepreneurship in Action Workshop to Everett youth at the Recreation Center.
