NEEDHAM, Mass. — Tonight, we meet women who are making their mark in the commercial fishing industry. Pan Mass Challenge starts August 3: Several locals will be tackling fund-raising event
On Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4, more than 6,500 riders, including 12 residents from Wilmington and five from Tewksbury will participate in the milestone 45th Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) with the goal of raising a record $75 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Dana-Farber). As of July 2024, the PMC crossed $1 billion in lifetime fundraising for Dana-Farber since 1980.

BOSTON, May 20 — In January the choreographer Mark Morris gave us a world premiere to Bach’s “Italian” Concerto in his own Brooklyn dance center. On May 2 the full production he staged and choreographed of the three-act Gluck “Orfeo ed Euridice” opened at the Metropolitan Opera. Now this irrepressible artist has knocked off another world premiere, for the new Institute of Contemporary Art, memorably located on the waterfront here.

BOSTON (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers traded pitcher James Paxton to the Boston Red Sox for minor league infielder Moises Bolivar on Friday. Bolivar, a 17-year-old from Venezuela, hit .270 with three home runs and 19 RBIs with the Dominican Summer League Red Sox. He agreed to a minor league contract with Boston in January for a $25,000 signing bonus.

Edgerton Center hosts workshop for deaf high school students in STEM
The percentage of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who have bachelor’s degrees is 15.2 percent lower than their hearing counterparts, and for those who do have degrees, most are in business and education.
