Man leads deputies on foot pursuit, arrested on drug charges
HOUSTON, Texas — A man led deputies on a foot pursuit and was arrested on drug charges after a disturbance at an apartment complex, authorities said. On July 15, 2024, at approximately 3:07 PM, Deputy Cartlidge of the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's Office responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 4300 block of S Shaver, according to a press release from the department. The witness reported a male who appeared to be on drugs in a vacant apartment. As deputies approached, the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Antonio Proenza Perez, ran through the apartment and jumped out of an open window.
Galveston man arrested with large quantities of drugs and stolen handgun
GALVESTON, Texas — A Galveston man was arrested after authorities found him in possession of significant quantities of drugs and a stolen handgun. On July 25, 2024, the Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force and Galveston Police Department Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 5000 block of Avenue K, according to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office. Prior to the search, detectives observed 39-year-old Darrington Joiner, of Galveston, Texas, leaving the residence, leading to a traffic stop where Joiner was found with 34 grams of crack cocaine.
