Fort Wayne gardener provides updates on record-holding sunflowers
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — After holding the U.S. record for tallest sunflower in 2022 and 2023, one local farmer hopes to continue the trend. After starting the season with 16 sunflowers, Alex Babich, a Fort Wayne farmer, has 10 left growing and at the start of July already had three over 15 feet. Babich told WANE 15 that out of the 10, the shortest was 14 feet and the tallest was up to 17 feet.

A look into Black Pine's new kids summer camp programs
Black Pine Animal Sanctuary opened its doors for their first ever summer camp this year, beginning in June. One of the camp groups collected pinecones and pieces of long grass that will be added to the animals’ enclosures.
