Minor killed in crash involving semi in Sebastian County

HUNTINGTON, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A minor was killed in a crash involving a semi-trailer truck on Saturday afternoon in Sebastian County, according to a crash report.

A Freightliner was traveling north on Highway 71 around 2:07 p.m. in Huntington while a 2012 Nissan Maxima was traveling south.

The report said the Nissan went over the center line and struck the front of the semi.

The Freightliner left the roadway and came to a rest facing northeast to the right of the highway and the Nissan spun before coming to a stop in the middle of the roadway.

The minor was listed as the driver of the Nissan and their age was not disclosed in the report.

Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
