Man Shot and Wounded in South LA Area; Investigation Underway
LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man was shot and wounded Monday in the South Los Angeles area, possibly during an attempted robbery at a gas station, and an investigation was underway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were sent to the 1900 block of West Slauson Avenue about 3:40 a.m. to investigate a report that a man who had been hit by gunfire had been transported from that location to a hospital in unknown condition.

Metallica announces annual All Within My Hands Foundation benefit in L.A.
Metallica on Monday announced the date of its All Within My Hands Foundation’s annual benefit show and auction, which will again take place in Los Angeles. The concert will take place on Dec. 13 at YouTube Theater. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. TV’s Jimmy Kimmel will again host the event, which returns after a one-year absence in 2023 due to touring. In 2022, the band raised $3 million, which went to its nonprofits efforts to support workforce education, fight hunger and provide disaster relief.
