Jennifer Geist, St. John Paul II Catholic High School
St. John Paul II Catholic High School is thrilled to announce the addition of Jennifer Geist, M.S. as the school’s first Advancement Director. Jennifer joins JPII with more than 25 years of experience in development, consulting, community affairs, fundraising, and nonprofit leadership. In her new position, Jennifer will oversee the Advancement Office, and be responsible for directing future capital campaigns, planned giving programs, the school foundation, and other fundraising activities.
Grace Dellis, Montessori School of Huntsville
Grace Dellis assumed the position of Assistant Head of School at Montessori School of Huntsville on June 1. Dellis joined MSH as the director of development in summer 2023, where she fostered donor relations and worked with stakeholders to manage the annual fund drive and other advancement initiatives. She will continue development work as she takes on other administrative responsibilities as the Assistant Head of School. Additionally, Dellis was selected to participate in the Montessori Action Research Symposium through the American Montessori Society, a year-long research program, where she will be working on Montessori education advocacy.

WIMS’ LEADERSHIP YIELDS GROWTH FOR AAMU
Board of Trustees Votes to Extend Alabama A&M University President’s Contract to 2030. In a unanimous vote of trustees present at the June 14 board meeting, the Alabama A&M University (AAMU) Board of Trustees voted to extend the contract of President Daniel K. Wims to December 31, 2030. Two trustees were not present at the time of voting. The action was taken affirming AAMUs continued stability and growth as the largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Alabama.
