The 60-year-old took to social media this week to share he’s scheduled to perform at a show honoring Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member, Dean Dillon on October 9 in Huntsville, AL.

The show will take place nearly 4 months after the onset of Chesnutt’s heart-related health issue, which forced him to cancel a number of live shows in order to recover.

"Mark Chesnutt, one of the most signatured Country music voices of the 90s and a honky tonk mainstay for more than three decades, experienced a heart health issue over the weekend that hospitalized him Sunday evening, June 16,” a statement on his social media read last month. “Mark underwent emergency quadruple bypass surgery.”

It continues, "The recuperation time will make it necessary to cancel show dates. Please respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time of recovery.”
