Mark Chesnutt is ready to take back the stage and has set his return following an emergency quadruple bypass surgery.

The country star confirmed on social media that he plans to perform at the Songs and Stories of Dean Dillon event set for October 9 in Huntsville, Alabama.

Chesnutt shared on Instagram a link for his fans to buy tickets for the event honoring the Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member.

It was on June 16 when the “Too Cold at Home” singer had been hospitalized ahead of undergoing emergency heart surgery. On June 18, it was announced that Chesnutt’s tour had to be canceled as the country star recovered from the medical intervention.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of my upcoming shows,” he said. “I send my love and gratitude to my family and friends, the band and fans for your understanding, prayers and support, and look forward to seeing you all again soon at a honky tonk near you.”

Back in November 2023, Chesnutt opened up about battling “extreme health issues,” saying in a Facebook post he was taking “the time to get healthy.”

“I’ll be coming off the road for the next couple of months to concentrate on getting well…..to take care of me, my family and so that I can get back out on the road, to give back to ALL of you who have shown me unconditional support, care and love throughout my entire career,” he shared.
