NORMAL, Ala. (WHNT) — August has arrived and so has fall camp for the Alabama A&M Bulldogs’ football program.
The Bulldogs hit the practice field Thursday morning for day one of practice, and Head Coach Connell Maynor says that his guys seem a little out of shape, but they still had a good first day back on the field.
Hiley Mazda Key Athlete of the Week: Huntsville basketball’s JD Gossett Maynor took the reins of the Bulldogs program back in 2018 so he’s seen the good, the bad and the ugly over the years. But no matter what year it is, his mindset stays the same and this season is no exception.
“My mindset is always win our next game, win the SWAC and get to the Celebration Bowl and win it for the SWAC, so my mindset never changes,” Maynor said.
Fall camp continues on Friday morning as the Bulldogs gear up for the 2024 season. Alabama A&M will open the season at Auburn on Saturday, August 31.
