    16-year-old hiker rescued after fall on Hurricane trail

    HURRICANE, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A 16-year-old was rescued Tuesday morning after he fell while hiking Three Falls Trail in Hurricane.

    Around 9 a.m., Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue crews responded to reports of the fall and quickly located the teenager just over a quarter mile up the trail, according to a social media post .

    Authorities assessed the 16-year-old at the scene and carried him out of the canyon. He was then transported to the hospital for additional treatment. Officials did not release information on his current condition.

    The circumstances leading up to the fall and the extent of the injuries were not immediately released.
