Oblong Announces Closing of “Parklane Drive” During Fair
(Oblong) – The Crawford County Fair begins this weekend and Oblong, Mayor, Teresa Fielder, is reminding residents of a road closing. Fielder says beginning Sunday through the rest of the week the roads on “Parklane Drive” will be blocked to traffic daily from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. She says this will include the area just east of the Oblong Public Works maintenance building, continuing east to the entrance of the Oblong Campground including the area on the north side of the fair office. Fielder reminds those making drop-offs into the 4-H barn after 4 p.m. to use the alley next to the American Legion Building or the alley between the “rabbit and dairy barn.”
