June 16, 2024 – Registration for the Wing eating contest at the Wings and Wheels event at the Decatur Airport will open Thursday at 10am. The Wing Eating contest is open for up to 48 contestants to compete in the preliminaries on Saturday. Heats will be held at 2pm, 3:30pm, 5pm and 6:30pm. The top two finishers from each heat will go on to complete in the finals on Sunday at 5pm. Wilmington, IL – Wilmington police are urgently seeking public assistance in locating Jennifer Tannhauser, 41, who has been missing for a week. On July 10, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., authorities received a report of a missing woman from Fulton St. in Wilmington, who was reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis. Despite an extensive search of Wilmington and surrounding areas, officers were unable to locate her.
