UPDATE: Puget Sound Fire (PSF) responded to a 2-alarm commercial fire in the 1500 block of Central Avenue South in Kent on Friday morning, Aug. 23, 2024, and firefighters discovered a victim later in the afternoon.

“Firefighters have located a victim inside the building and the medical examiner has been called,” Puget Sound Fire said via X.com.

The structure housed a tile and countertop business called Tile Lines, which is reportedly a total loss.

When firefighters arrived at the medium size single story building, they found flames burning through the roof.

PSF first posted about the blaze on X.com at 4:17 a.m.

    Central Avenue South was closed.

Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
