Two teams that caught the attention of the nation this past March will be making a trip to ExtraMile Arena this season.

The Boise State men’s basketball team released its complete 11-game 2024-25 non-conference schedule on Thursday, including home dates against Oakland and Clemson, NCAA Tournament darlings from last season.

The non-conference schedule includes at least seven games against teams who made postseason tournaments last season, five of which were in the NCAA Tournament.

The Broncos will open the season against Oakland, last season’s tournament underdog. The Grizzlies were a No. 14 seed in the tournament and upset No. 3-seed Kentucky 80-76 in the first round of the tournament. Oakland then took eventual Final Four participant NC State to overtime in the second round, before falling 79-73.

The Broncos then have a road game against San Francisco, an NIT participant from last season, on Nov. 9 before returning home to face NAIA Corban on Nov. 12.

Boise State hosts Clemson on Nov. 17. The Tigers were a No. 6-seed in last season’s tournament, making a run to the Elite Eight, where they lost to Alabama.

After that, the Broncos head to the Cayman Islands for the previously announced three-game Cayman Islands Classic, beginning with a game against Hampton on Nov. 24. The second round will be against either South Dakota State or Duquesne, both of which were NCAA Tournament teams last season.

The Broncos host Utah Tech on Dec. 3 and then play two previously announced neutral-site games in Idaho against two more 2024 Tournament teams.

The Broncos and Washington State, which won a first-round tournament game last season, play Dec. 7 at Idaho Central Arena in downtown Boise. Boise State then heads across the state to play Saint Mary’s on Dec. 14 at Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls.

The non-conference schedule ends with a home game against Texas Southern on Dec. 17, coming off a CollegeInsider.com tournament appearance.

Tipoff times will be announced at a later date for these games. Also to be announced at a later date is the Broncos’ Mountain West tournament, which will include 10 games against five other NCAA Tournament teams from last season.

The Mountain West is moving to a 20-game conference schedule this season, with each team playing every other team in the league twice.
