Five individuals were ejected from a raft on Clear Creek on Tuesday, with two women taken to a hospital.

According to a Facebook post by the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at Five Bridges Rapids, which is near Interstate 70's milepost 242.5. The rafters were part of a guided trip with a local rafting company.

Although initial reports indicated a possible drowning, all parties were out of the water, conscious, and breathing when authorities arrived. EMS checked everyone who was ejected from the raft. Two 69-year-old women were taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries and possible hypothermia, but no other injuries were reported.

The Clear Creek EMS, Clear Creek Fire Authority, Idaho Springs Police Department, and the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.
