SODA SPRINGS — It's easy to look at a worn-down item in a drawer or cupboard and say, “Time to buy a new one.”

While this philosophy might work with a sock full of holes or a toothbrush missing its bristles, the intrinsic and historical value of some assets is quite often worth saving.
